I've had my ham ticket for a few years started to get into it then life, wife and kids happened so stepped back for a few. But now that I am a over the road driver on a dedicated run from Kansas to Portland and just got my GMRS ticket I'm thinking about putting a few mobile radios on my rig so I can stay informed on my route across the i80/i84 corridor to Portland so I've been researching ham and GMRS repeaters and groups along my route to make contact with chit chat and maybe get road and weather safety type stuff I've seen a lot along this route and strive to be safe and get home to my family each run so been compiling and freq. List to program my radio to just scan and lock in areas and the other reason is hardly anyone uses cb/10meters out here anymore.
